The special feature of these tables is a gas- and liquid-permeable plastic sintered plate, which is illuminated from below with daylight tubes for better control during delicate leafcasting, stain removal, piecing together of fragments etc.. The sintered plate (PE) is resistant to most solvents and bleaches used in paper restoration. The plate is glued to the table or housing of the device and can easily be replaced if discoloured by frequent use. These devices have no heating or control unit for regulating the low pressure. We recommend the wet industrial vacuum cleaner ATTIX from the company Nilfisk ALTO as a vacuum generator.
